BION-ISEIJIN (TOYOSHIMA BION) Born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1967.

Graduated from Musashino Art University (Tokyo), major of scenic art in 1991.

He has performed as “BION-ISEIJIN” since 1998. The name means “an alien on the star of beautiful sounds.”

He performed a program titled “sense of sound” in the 1st Exhibition of “Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art” in 1998. Since this time, he has been called himself “BION-ISEIJIN”.

While the performance, he plays “BION(beautiful sounds) Machine”, and wears “training armor to be an artist.” that is made by springs all over his body.

The theme is "Pain physicality that can be seen through an alien filter".

In addition to performing, he has showed painting, graphic design, music, video and so on.

 

 

 

98年豊島びおん(本名:豊島隆弘)が第1回岡本太郎記念現代芸術大賞展で「音感」を発表。その際の作品を使ってのパフォーマンスがきっかけで美音異星人が誕生する。美音発生装置である「美音マシン」を操作し、全身バネだらけのアーティスト養成ギプスを装着し、「異星人のフィルターを透過して観える痛みの身体性」をテーマとしアートダンスをするのが主な特徴。時に絵画、グラフィック、音楽、映像などでも多様な発表をしている。
